Aside from getting over a fairly bad cold, we are doing well and starting to settle into our new apartment in beautiful Cambridge. Huge houses line the streets out our window and all around. All beautiful and none alike – there’s character here. But it’s not just the houses that make Cambridge so lovely, it’s the tree lined streets, green and lush. Every turn idyllic…
For the next month we live in a 6th floor apartment in Harvard Student Housing. It’s nothing special, but that’s perfect for us right now. Very little stress. There’s nothing fancy here, no expensive decor, furniture or dinnerware to break. And we are walking distance from the Houghton Library!
After doing some cleaning and organizing, the girls and I went for a walk. The sun is out today, it is a perfect day for a stroll. We found out that Boston is not a grid, it’s winding, bumpy and before you know it it has taken you more east or west, north or south (sometimes a combination) than you thought! And we got a tad turned around touring the area. No worries though, I have gps on my phone and we found our way back with no stress… it was probably better for us since we got a longer walk in… maybe next time we will recognize some streets and get less lost 😉
Boston, an Eastcoast seaside town, gloomy, harsh winters, busy, but Boston. And people want to stay.
