3 more sleeps until we leave for home again!
Ruth-Ann and her friend Lydia are on their one month tour of Paris and Holland. Pretty exciting, especially for a couple of 17 year olds! Their first stop, Paris. Unfortunately we could not go get them from the airport because Richard had a dentist appointment that he could not miss and I… well let’s just say the metro stations are not made to accommodate strollers, so I try not to take the metro by myself, especially so far with my stroller and independent eldest daughter. But the girls were up for it and with Richard’s detailed directions they made it here without a hitch on Thursday morning.
They have done a lot of walking over the last couple of days. Yesterday I took them to the market (my last day to go to our market too:() and walked around for a while. I think they both managed to find a couple things they liked. It was surprisingly cold (the temperature over the last week has significantly dropped, brrrr), too bad, I was hoping for nice weather for our last days here! Anyway, we went back home, had a little lunch and off they went again out to the Louvre and the Champs Elysée. Today they are touring Versailles and will probably be back late — there is a lot to see and the grounds are massive! I hope they are having fun…. how could they not though, touring Paris all day and then coming back here to relax and catch up with all their friends back home. Ah, to be 16 again and think that the world will forget you if you don’t talk to your friends 24-7. Try 5 months! I suppose that if you are reading my blog you have not forgotten me. I love you all and hope to see you soon, very soon!
