One Sunday afternoon

On the weekends a road along the Seine is blocked off to traffic during the day so that people can walk, bike of roller blade along the river. It reminds me slightly of Stanley Park in Vancouver, because it is in the heart of the city, yet it feels like you are somewhere else. It’s beautiful and peaceful. Today was such a nice fall day that as we crossed over the Seine and saw the path, we couldn’t pass up a little detour to explore. So we dismounted our bikes and walked until we found a beautiful spot by the water. There are many spots like this one along the Seine. This isn’t Paris’s beach, but it looks just like it. There are signs throughout Paris that claim that Paris has a beach, but once you look into it you realize that there isn’t one. I have added a picture from online of what the beach looks like. Anyway, in general, people just find a nice warm piece of concrete along the river path, lay their towels down, and enjoy the sun! So weird, but I suppose you do what you must!
